Hi! I’m Shellie Schulze and I’m a personal trainer who is not a size zero. I lost over 100 pounds following a program I developed that I’d like to share with you to help you boost your energy and confidence and make sure you’re not stuck sitting on the sidelines in the Game of Life! A Personal Message from Shellie Schulze
I remember the first time I visited a gym. I DID NOT want to be there. As I gazed around the huge, noisy, equipment-filled room full of “fit” people (uggh!) I was shaking and felt sick to my stomach.
"None of these people get it," I thought to myself. "They have no idea what it's like for me.” But I knew I couldn’t quit. My health was in serious danger.
Begrudgingly, I hired a personal trainer and subjected the poor guy to my bad attitude for several weeks (he should have gotten combat pay!). He was so good to me--he just let me be ME!
I started to realize that being a size 6 was no longer my goal. There were new markers of achievement: feeling stronger, needing new jeans simply because the old ones were too big, and just plain smiling more when I was at the gym.
I came to see that moving my body was making me feel much better physically. And, as I felt better physically, I began to feel better about myself emotionally, too.
Working out has changed my life. So much so that at age 35 I finally realized what I wanted to be when I grew up: A PERSONAL TRAINER! Now, 10 years later, I still get the thrill of being by my clients’ sides as THEY get excited about THEIR changes and achievements.
